It's The End Of An Era For The Crunchyroll Store...

Sad News Folks, Some Major Depressing News Came Out Today About The Crunchyroll Store....

Crunchyroll has already significantly reduced its Blu-ray offerings and is shifting its store focus away from bulk physical media toward subscription-only, limited-release products, Since July 2026, Crunchyroll’s store has been restricted to Mega ($13.99/mo) and Ultimate ($17.99/mo) subscribers, with the rest of the catalog — including most manga, light novels, manhwa, danmei, and hundreds of Blu-ray/DVD anime sets — removed or delisted, The remaining Blu-rays are mostly exclusive Sony-owned titles (Funimation, Crunchyroll, Aniplex) and limited editions like The Apothecary Diaries SteelBook.

What’s left Of This Store Will Be ~387 Blu-ray/DVD items under “Home Entertainment” Focus now on collectibles, curated drops, and limited-release products inspired by anime, No indication of a full shutdown, but the store’s role in selling physical media is being redefined.

The Comes After Crunchyroll Hime’s main VTuber streaming channel has gone on hiatus and is no longer posting regular streams. Fans noticed this about a month ago, with the last active stream being roughly two years prior, According to community updates, she has moved away from her VTuber channel and is now focusing more on content on Crunchyroll’s main YouTube channel — such as interviews, previews, and watch-alongs — rather than gaming or variety streams, This shift suggests a partial “graduation” from her former role, where she was a mascot VTuber with regular live gaming content, to a more corporate event presenter role.

Well, Too Soon, Crunchyroll, First You Gave A VTuber Channel Based On Your Own Mascot A Hitaus, Then You Closed Half Of Crunchyroll Store, Well, At Least The Fans Deserved It... - R.T
